Invitation to the $25,400 Added
"NICARAGUA OPEN 2010" Ten Ball Tournament

We would like to give you our regards and to invite you and your fellow pool players to participate in the "NICARAGUA OPEN 2010" ten ball tournament.

This tournament, which is endorsed by the "Nicaraguan Billiard Federation", will take place at the "Pool Ocho Billiard Club" ( http://www.poolocho.com/ ) on October 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th in Managua, Nicaragua.

Mr. Carlos Rivera, promoter and owner of "Pool Ocho Billiard Club" (carlos-arivera@hotmail.com) is the person to whom you should request reservations for participating. No player will be allowed to play unless he/she has a confirmed reservation by Mr. Rivera.

The entry fee of USD$150.00 is to be cancelled the 7th of October at the tournament venue only. There will be an added guaranteed price of USD$25,400.00.

Total prize of USD$35,000.00 will be paid to the first 16 places based on a 64 field. If less than 64 players participate, the amount of money not collected from the missing entry fees will be deducted from the 16 prizes in equal portions.

All matches will have referees present and WPA rules will apply (www.wpa-pool.com/index.asp?content=rules_10ball).

Last, but not least, besides participating in this tournament, you can also rest and go sight seeing, since there are many interesting tourist sites in Nicaragua, enjoy the delicious food and most essentially, the warmth of its people.

No smoking is allowed in the tournament venue.
The prize breakdown is as follows:
Champion $12,000.00 (+ medal)
Runner-up 7,000.00 (+ medal)
3rd ~ 4th 3,600.00 (+ medal) each
5th ~ 8th 1,200.00 each
9th ~ 16th 500.00 each
Total $35,000.00

TOURNAMENT FORMAT (alternate break always).
Stage 1: Double elimination, race to 9 (8 groups of 8 players each).
Stage 2: Single elimination (32 players) race to 10.
Semi final: Race to 11.
Final: Race to 12.

INSURANCE
Participants are advised to provide their own personal insurance, as the organizer cannot accept responsibility for any accidents or injury that might occur.

PLAYERS ACTIVITIES
Players must make themselves available for promotion by appearing at the press conference, TV filming, pre event activities, photo calls, after game interviews, etc.

UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT
Players must conduct themselves in a fair and sporting fashion and obey the spirit of the rules at all times.

SITUATIONS NOT CONVERED BY THE RULES OR REGULATIONS
If any situation arises that is not covered in the rules or regulations, the Tournament Director will be consulted and his decision will be final.
