The thirty-third stop on the 2009-2010 Lucasi Hybri All American Tour (produced by the American CueSports Alliance – ACS) was hosted in Dubuque, Iowa, on Saturday, March 6, at Bulldog Billiards. The $500 added event featured a full 32-player field competing in a double-elimination 8-ball format on 7-foot bar boxes. Anthony Garcia (Cedar Rapids, IA) – rated a “4” on a regional handicap system used – completed his undefeated route to the hot seat by topping Craig Hintgen [5] (Dubuque, IA) 4-0 in the A-side semifinals and Nate Mindham [4] (Beloit, WI) 4-1 in the A-side finals. Filling the 7-8th spots in the final standings, Tracey Christenson [4] (Beloit, WI) was eliminated by Craig Rice [5] (Cedar Rapids, IA) 5-1, while Rich Bideaux [5] ousted Ron Pluym [5] (Dubuque, IA) 5-4. Craig Hintgen and Mason Parks [4] (E. Moline, IL) bit the dust in the next round at the hands of Craig Rice 2-5 and Rich Bideaux 3-5. Bideaux then continued on by stopping Craig Rice at 4th place 5-4 and Nate Mindham at 3rd place 5-3. However, in the tourney finals, Anthony Garcia took advantage of his one-game spot to claim the title over Rich Bideaux in the first set, 4-4!

By virtue of Anthony Garcia being the highest-finishing ACS member in the event, he qualified for a free 9-Ball singles entry into the 2010 ACS Nationals in Las Vegas – courtesy of the ACS. The ACS wishes to thank sponsors Lucasi Hybrid Cues, Championship Billiard Fabric, Nick Varner Signature Cases, Ozone Billiards, Pool Cue Guru and Billiard Gods Productions for their support in donating “Value-In-Kind” product for this and all stops on the Lucasi Hybrid All American Tour. All entries in the Tour are also entered into a drawing in January for a $1,000 Lucasi Hybrid Cue, courtesy of Ozone Billiards. Sponsorship opportunities and tour stop openings are still available for the 2009/2010 All American Tour by contacting the ACS.

The Tour hosts two events on Saturday, March 20: 1). the $500-added Greenfields 8-Ball Open at Greenfields Pool & Sports Bar in Lakewood, CO (contact Todd Grosvenor at 303-989-9820), and 2) the $500-added 9-Ball Open at Legends Sports Bar in Clinton, IA (contact David Holmes at 563-243-4266).
