The 27th stop of the 2009-2010 Lucasi Hybrid All American Tour (produced by the American CueSports Alliance – ACS) was hosted in Lakewood, CO, at Greenfields Pool & Sports Bar, January 23. The $500 added event showcased 30 players in a double elimination 8-ball format on 7-foot Dynamo bar boxes. Sam Cordova (Pueblo, CO) moved unscathed to the tourney finals via wins over Jimmy Dean Birdsall (Arvada, CO) 5-0, Cannon Russell (Denver, CO) 5-1, Bill Skinner (Aurora, CO) 5-1, Rick Field (Lakewood, CO) 5-3 and Ed Borrego (Denver, CO) 5-4. Borrego earlier had handed losses to James Largent (Pueblo, CO) 5-0, Roy Yamane (Denver, CO) 5-3, Rich Cunningham (Denver, CO) 5-3 and Jackie Karol (Broomfield, CO) 5-3. Dave Hughes (Denver, CO) challenged Ed Borrego for the B-side finals, but Borrego ousted Hughes 5-2 for a second chance at Cordova in the title match. Sam Cordova left no doubt that he was top dog on this day, as he turned back Ed Borrego by a 5-1 margin in the first set for the title!

(L-R) Sam Cordova (1st), Ed Borrego (2nd), Dave Hughes (3rd) and Richie Cunningham (4th)
