The 2009-2010 Lucasi Hybri All American Tour (produced by the American CueSports Alliance – ACS) kicked off on Saturday, October 3, at Smokies in Virginia Beach, VA. The $500 added event featured twenty-three players in a double-elimination 9-ball format on 7-foot bar boxes. Veteran Bill Mason (Virginia, Beach, VA) topped off his undefeated run to the tourney finals by taking down Mike York (Virginia Beach, VA) in the A-side semifinals 5-1 and outpointing Jack Davis (Virginia Beach, VA) 5-3 in the A-side finals. On the B-side Rodney Nelson (Norfolk, VA) and Mike York ended the event at 7th place for Leroy Bailey (Virginia Beach, VA) 5-2 and Bob Staeck (Virginia Beach, VA) 5-2 respectively. But in the next round of the B-side, the tables were turned, as Bailey and York were each ousted at 5th place at the hands of Reno Villanueva (Virginia Beach, VA) 2-5 and Dave Perry (Virginia Beach, VA) 0-5 respectively. Next Dave Perry eliminated Reno Villanueva at 4th place and was ousted himself in the B-side finals to Jack Davis 3-5. That set up the tourney finals which needed only one set, as Bill Mason again vanquished Jack Davis 5-3 for the title!

(L-R) Dave Perry (3rd), Bill Mason (1st) and Jack Davis (2nd)
By virtue of Luz Selbe and Ann Bellamy, both from Virginia Beach, VA, being the highest-placing women players, they each collected $50.
By virtue of Bill Mason also being the highest-finishing ACS member in the event, he qualified for a free 9-Ball singles entry into the 2010 ACS Nationals in Las Vegas – courtesy of the ACS. The ACS wishes to thank sponsors Lucasi Hybrid Cues, Championship Billiard Fabric, Nick Varner Signature Cases, oZone Billiards and Pool Cue Guru for their support in donating "Value-In-Kind" product for this and all stops on the Lucasi Hybrid All American Tour. Sponsorship opportunities and tour stop openings are still available for the 2009/2010 All American Tour by contacting the ACS.
The Tour moves west to Davenport, IA on Saturday, October 17 for a $500-added 8-Ball Tour Stop at Miller Time Billiards (contact Terry Anderson at 563-359-7225) Further information, entry details and schedules for the 2009-2010 Tour are available at www.americancuesports.org
